DEXDA Clean is the deep cleaner for your water system: a two-component chlorine dioxide solution that removes biofilm, bacteria, algae, and Legionella from your tank and pipes—and gets rid of musty odors at the same time. The 100-ml bottle is designed for small tanks up to about 60 liters, such as those found in camper vans, RVs, or boats.
Which version do you need?
- DEXDA Clean 100 ml (this item) – for tanks up to about 60 liters.
- DEXDA Clean 250 ml – for larger tanks up to approximately 160 liters, i.e., the typical size found in motorhomes and camper vans.
- Hygiene Trio Complete Set – if you want both cleaning and ongoing preservation: DEXDA Clean combined with the KXpro silver preservative.
If in doubt, check the measurements: Choose the bottle that matches your tank capacity. The small bottle is sufficient for 60 liters; for anything larger, go with the 250-ml bottle.
Important to understand: DEXDA Clean cleans and disinfects an existing system. It does not keep the water permanently germ-free afterward—that’s what the silver preservative or a UV disinfection unit is for. The usual approach is: clean it thoroughly once, then preserve it.

Here’s how to proceed
Combine the two components; they activate each other—after about three hours, the solution is ready for use and can be added to the water system. Chlorine dioxide is pH-neutral and safe for materials, so you don’t need to rinse multiple times. Frequently Asked Questions
Will my water be drinkable again afterward?
Yes—chlorine dioxide is an active ingredient approved for drinking water treatment (BAuA registration N-69077). After use, flush the system as described in the instructions.
Is the small bottle enough for my tank?
Yes, for up to about 60 liters. If you have more than that, use the 250-ml bottle—under-dosing won’t work; otherwise, some of the biofilm will remain.
How is this different from a tank cleaner from a home improvement store?
Most products use active oxygen. According to the manufacturer, chlorine dioxide attacks the biofilm much more effectively—and the biofilm is exactly what usually persists and repeatedly contaminates the water.
Does it damage the tank, seals, or lines?
No, the solution is pH-neutral and safe for the materials.
How often should I do this?
As a deep clean, at least at the start of the season, and ideally also before winterization. If you also preserve the tank, you’ll need to deep clean it less often.
