Votronic LCD battery computer S100
The fuel gauge for AGM, gel, acid and lithium batteries
How much charge does my on-board battery actually have left?
Is the battery really full?
Why is energy being drawn from the battery despite consumers being switched off?
The VOTRONIC LCD battery computer S answers these questions to the percent (%)
and the ampere hour (Ah).
It provides comprehensive information about the current charge status of the battery at the touch of a button,
the battery currents flowing and the battery voltage level.
The device is in constant contact with "its battery" and thus registers and evaluates all battery actions.
All charging and discharging currents, battery size and self-discharge are meticulously counted,
battery load etc. are taken into account using programmed characteristic curve fields.
Even the smallest leakage currents are recorded and registered.
The remaining battery capacity is then calculated from the measured values and the battery size.
The result is the correct display of the state of charge (remaining capacity, residual charge)
of the on-board battery as a numerical value in ampere hours ("Ah")
and in percent ("%") as well as a clear fill level bar, like a fuel gauge.
The LCD battery computer S is suitable for all battery types (acid, gel, AGM, lithium adjustable)
with 12V and 24 V battery voltage.
The LCD battery computer S has a freely programmable switching output for control and monitoring functions,
control and warning purposes, e.g. depending on the state of charge of the on-board battery (0-100%).
to automatically switch loads or issue a warning, for example.
On and off switching points can be set freely and independently of each other in %,
This enables any number of switching functions.
They can also be overridden manually at any time at the touch of a button.
Application example: Automatic protection of the battery against harmful deep discharge,
the loads are switched off exactly according to the state of charge, e.g. at less than 25% state of charge.
An EMERGENCY ON function is possible at the touch of a button to continue supplying the loads.
The device can therefore also be used as a remote-controlled battery main switch (on/off) with deep discharge protection.
A plug-in connection cable connects the display completely to a robust precision measuring resistor (shunt), which is connected directly to the negative terminal of the on-board battery
and to which the voltages and currents of the battery are recorded.
The switching output for connecting signal transmitters or powerful switching relays is also located here.
When using the LCD battery computer S as deep discharge protection and battery main switch
due to its high performance and extremely low power consumption
the use of the VOTRONIC Switch-Unit 40 or Switch-Unit 100 is recommended.
Suitable for VOTRONIC modular system, the device fits in both visually and mechanically
(uniform height 85 mm) to
the other display modules and the low installation depth of just 18 mm allows installation in almost any location.
Functions:
On-board battery voltage, 7 to 32 V (volts), measurement resolution 0.1 V.
Allows conclusions to be drawn about the battery behavior under different
loads and is used for function control
z. e.g. the charger, solar system, alternator, etc. Flashing warning display in the event of overvoltage
Battery current(+ = charge/- = discharge) +/- 0 to max. +/- 1800 A (amperes, depending on type),
Measuring resolution 0.1 A,
Check of discharge currents (load) by consumers, indicated by a "-" symbol,
Checking the charging currents, indicated by a "Charge" sign.
Battery capacity "Ah" (remaining charge in ampere hours) from 0 Ah (empty) to nominal capacity (full), max. 2000 Ah.
Battery capacity "%" (remaining charge in percent) from 0% (empty) to nominal capacity 100% (full).
Battery voltage starter battery, 2nd battery, 7 to 32 V (volts), measurement resolution 0.1 V.
Switching output, freely programmable and tactile (PNP, plus potential 12V / 24V, max. 0.5A).
Shunt: 100A
Note: The devices are matched to the measuring shunts included in the scope of delivery
and cannot be operated in conjunction with other measuring shunts or interchanged with each other!
