Monitoring the midpoint voltage
This feature, often used in the industry to monitor large and costly battery banks, is now available for the first time at a lower price to monitor any battery bank,
is now available for the first time at a lower price so that any battery bank can be monitored.
These are dependent on numerous factors, such as varying state of charge of new batteries or cells, varying temperatures, internal leakage currents, capacities and many more.
Large or increasing deviations in the midpoint voltage indicate improper battery maintenance or a faulty battery or cell. Corrective action following a midpoint voltage alarm can prevent serious damage to an expensive battery.
Standard functions
- Battery voltage, current, power, ampere hours consumed and state of charge
- Remaining runtime at current discharge rate
- Programmable visual and audible alarm
- Programmable relay to switch off non-essential loads or switch on a generator if required.
- One 500 amp quick connect shunt and one connection kit.
- Shunt capacity selectable up to 10,000 amps.
- VE.Direct communication port
- Stores a wide range of historical data that can be used to assess usage patterns and battery condition.
- Wide input voltage range: 9.5 - 95 V
- High current measurement resolution 10 mA (0.01 A)
- Low power consumption 2.9 Ah per month (4 mA) at 12 V and 2.2 Ah per month (3 mA) at 24 V
Additional functions
Additional input for measuring voltage (of a second battery), temperature or midpoint voltage as well as associated alarm and relay settings
60 to 385 VDC voltage range
No prescaler required. Note: Only suitable for systems with earthed negative pole (battery monitor is not isolated from shunt)
Further options for the battery monitor
-VE.Net battery monitor (VBC)
-High-voltage VE.Net battery monitor: 70 to 350 VDC
-Lynx Shunt VE.Net
-Lynx Shunt VE.Can
