Recovery of deeply discharged "dead" batteries
Unlike most other brands and product ranges, the Blue Smart IP22 charger will attempt to recharge a deeply discharged battery by imposing a weak charging current on it. Normal charging will then resume as soon as there is sufficient voltage between the battery terminals.

trend-setting efficiency
With an efficiency of up to 94%, these chargers generate up to four times less heat compared to the industry standard. Furthermore, once the battery is fully charged, power consumption drops to less than 0.5 watts, which is around five to ten times better than the industry standard.
Adaptive 7-stage charging algorithm
The 12/15(1) Blue Smart charger is characterized by its microprocessor-controlled, "adaptive" battery management. "Adaptive" means that the charging process is automatically adapted to the type of battery usage.
Storage mode: less maintenance and ageing when the battery is at rest
Storage mode is always activated if the battery has not been discharged within 24 hours. The charge retention voltage is then lowered to 2.2V/cell (13.2V for a 12V battery) to minimize gas development and thus prevent corrosion on the positive plates. Once a week, the voltage is increased to the gassing voltage level. This creates a kind of equalizing charge, which prevents electrolyte stratification and sulphation - the two main causes of premature battery failure.
