The Victron Energy SmartShunt is an all-in-one battery monitor
—it provides the same data as the BMV battery monitor—with the only difference being
that the data is displayed not on a permanently installed screen,
but on a mobile device such as a smartphone or tablet
- The SmartShunt comes equipped with built-in Bluetooth and a VE.Direct connection
- Suitable for connection to GX devices
- Suitable for monitoring an additional battery
Smart battery monitoring
The SmartShunt connects via Bluetooth to the VictronConnect app on your phone (or tablet), allowing
you to conveniently view all monitored battery parameters, such as state of charge, remaining runtime, historical data, and much more.
Alternatively, the SmartShunt can be connected to and read by a GX device.
The SmartShunt is connected via a VE.Direct cable.
The SmartShunt is a good alternative to a BMV battery monitor, especially for systems
where battery monitoring is required but less wiring and clutter are desired.
Differences from the BMV-712 Battery Monitor
- No programmable visual or audible alarm
- No programmable relay
