Sheet metal:

The aluminum mounting plate was designed by waerchzueg.ch and is produced in Switzerland.
It has slotted holes to compensate for any tolerances during installation. It also has several cable tie attachment points.
The surface is anodized.

MPPT charge controller with Bluetooth:

Smartsolar 75/15 charge controller with integrated Bluetooth

The Smartsolar 75/15 charge controller from Victron Energy is an MPPT solar charge controller

with a maximum charging current of 15 amps for charging 12 volt and 24 volt batteries.

In contrast to the Bluesolar 75/15, the Smart version has integrated Bluetooth,

which makes the purchase of a Bluetooth dongel superfluous.
The integrated Bluetooth in the SmartSolar series is the wireless solution for setting up,

monitoring and updating the controller using Apple and Android smartphones,

tablets or other devices.

Intelligent load output

Deep discharging of the battery can be prevented by

connecting

12/24 volt end consumers

to the load output.

The load output disconnects the 12/24 volts when the battery

has been discharged

predefined voltage value.

The load output is short-circuit proof.

Battery Life: intelligent battery management

If the solar charge controller is not able to charge the battery to its full capacity within a day,

the status of the battery constantly switches back and forth between "partially charged" and "end of discharge".

This operating mode (no regular full charge) will

damage a lead-acid battery within a few weeks or months.
The Battery Life algorithm monitors the battery's state of charge and, if necessary, raises

the charge level

day by day

. threshold for disconnecting the load (i.e. the load is disconnected earlier) until the energy gained is sufficient

to charge the battery to almost 100%.

From this point, the threshold for disconnecting the load is modulated

so that charging to almost 100% is achieved approximately once a week.
