Fabian: Why do I need this?
We’ve tested several level indicators. We’ve also added a few to our product line. The classic model is certainly the Votronic version, where you buy a 55 cm long probe, cut it to the length you need, and adjust it using a potentiometer; the display lights up when you press the button and shows the fill level in increments of 10.
The SuperSense version goes a step further—it can be programmed more precisely and displays the results on your cell phone. This means I can also program alerts. For example, when filling the tank, I can set it to alert me on my cell phone when it reaches 90% so I can go turn off the water. It should also notify me when the tank is almost empty, and so on.
With the LASER version, you can install the entire system without a hose. However, a 30° beam angle must be unobstructed; for example, this means a wheel well tank cannot be measured. With rectangular tanks, this wouldn’t be a problem.

How It Works

How does it measure?
The operating principle is quickly explained: A sensor hose is connected to the level sensor. The hose is inserted into the tank from the top or the side. As the liquid level rises, the air inside the hose compresses slightly. This change is detected and analyzed by the SuperSense electronics. Special algorithms ensure that the measurement result is always displayed correctly, even with fluctuating temperatures or varying atmospheric pressure (e.g., at high altitudes). This makes SuperSense equally suitable for both stationary and mobile use.

Perfect for graywater and blackwater.
Where conventional solutions reach their limits, SuperSense Pro truly shines. While measurement conditions are even simpler for fresh water, the requirements for measurement technology are significantly greater when it comes to graywater and blackwater. Thanks to its robust measuring cell, SuperSense Pro is perfectly suited for long-term use in gray and black water tanks.

Display options are available on many original displays and control systems.

In addition to viewing data via the SuperSense or DigiCamper app, the sensors can be connected to a wide variety of “third-party displays.” In this example, you can see a display commonly used in the motorhome industry. We support a wide range of control panels and include vehicle-specific wiring harnesses; please feel free to ask us at any time whether we support your display.

A small but handy feature:
the programming button.

  • Press and hold once: The current fill level is saved as 100% (“full”).
  • Press once briefly: The LED indicates the current fill level.

With just one button, this sensor can be adapted to nearly any tank. Avoid having to deal with numerous part numbers and different sensor types. With SuperSense, you get a single product that can be adapted to a wide variety of tanks and tank contents. In addition to the one-time calibration (which remains stored even during a power outage), the button can also be used to display the current fill level. To do this, press the button briefly; the LED will then light up in a specific color. Using the printed level gauge on the sensor, you can then determine the fill level based on the color of the LED.
