-40 °C to +120 °C (up to +150 °C for short periods),
Length: 11

mm. Excellent adhesion to many surfaces (plastics, glass, powder-coated surfaces, etc.); in many applications, primers are not required.
Today, 3M™ VHB™ high-performance bonding systems
are used worldwide across all industrial sectors, such as aircraft manufacturing, the
automotive, electrical, and electronics industries, shipbuilding and
rail vehicle manufacturing, as well as metal fabrication.
These dark gray 3M™ VHB™ high-performance bonding systems offer
optimal conformability to the surfaces being bonded.
This feature allows both thin and textured
surfaces to be bonded over their entire area without stress.
This new generation of conformable, high-performance adhesive tapes
is also characterized by good impact resistance at sub-zero temperatures and high initial adhesion.
Products 5915, 5925, 5930, 5952, and 5962 are particularly
suitable for low-energy surfaces such as:
• most powder-coated
surfaces • many plastics, as well as •
high-energy surfaces and glass
The use of a primer or prior surface roughening of the surfaces to be bonded
is not necessary.
When working with 3M™ VHB™ High-Performance Bonding Systems
, please ensure that surfaces are clean and free of, for example, grease, oil, or silicone films, as well as any dirt particles. Ensure
that the protective liner is completely removed, and press
the workpieces together with approximately 20 N/cm² after joining.
The final bond strength at 20 °C is reached after approximately 72 hours, although heat accelerates the
process (see also Diagram 1, page 3), so that, for example, at 65°
the final bond strength can be achieved after just 1 hour.
The bonding area is 60 cm² per 1 kg of load (standard value); however, our technical advisors
or technical sales support are available to assist you with
a more precise design.
