The controller is mounted on the floor underneath the water system and automatic draining can take place by means of a hole through the floor. The part triggers at 2-3°, so it makes sense not to install this part right next to a heater so that the temperature for triggering is always correct. When you return from vacation, you can also use this valve to empty the system manually. I have not yet found an official way to block the part, but the rear blue trigger button could be blocked, then it is simply always closed. (But this can lead to frost damage!)
