Orion XS 1400 DC/DC charger was developed and defines adaptive DC-DC charging. For use in dual battery systems that are charged with an (intelligent) alternator.
Variable input and output voltage: Input: 9-35V and output 10V - 35V.
It can therefore be used for 24V - 12V, 12V-12V or 24V-24V.
(for 12V - 12V I would use the normal Orion XS, which has more power for 12V systems)
--> The current (amperes) can be set on this version. 0 - 50A.
According to Victron, up to 21mm2 can be installed. We have tested it, 25mm2 also works well.
