Our carbon monoxide gas detector can save your life! If carbon-containing material is not burned completely (e.g. fireplace, barbecue, oven, gas heater), carbon monoxide is produced. If the deadly, odorless gas "carbon monoxide" escapes, the internal sensor immediately triggers the CarPro-Tec alarm via radio and also reports this acoustically itself via an additional internal alarm siren.
Single or with CarPro-Tec:
The carbon monoxide gas detector, like any conventional "stand-alone" gas detector, can also be used without CarPro-Tec, as it triggers its own alarm in the event of danger.
When combined with CarPro-Tec, the securityis enhanced by the additional sounding of the alarm system, as well as the immediate notification on your smartphone.

Additional information:
- CO gas is odorless, invisible and highly toxic. This is what makes CO gas so dangerous.
- Carbon monoxide (CO) is a dangerous respiratory poison; once inhaled, it very quickly enters the bloodstream via the lungs. Death by asphyxiation occurs when oxygen transport in the blood is impeded or stopped by the carbon monoxide gas. The first signs of carbon monoxide poisoning are gradual, you have headaches and dizziness. At higher concentrations, the central nervous system and the heart are affected. You will hardly notice the colorless, odorless and tasteless poisonous gas from the fireplace, stove or barbecue! Even low concentrations of 100 ppm or more can lead to consequential damage to the heart and nervous system. With high levels of carbon monoxide particles in the air you breathe, death occurs after just a few minutes.
- CO gas is distributed fairly evenly in the air, which is why the CO detector should ideally be installed in closed rooms at a height of approx. 100 cm above the floor, at a maximum distance of 3-4 meters from the source of the fire
- Do not install the gas detector close to doors, windows or extractor hoods, as the actual gas content of the air cannot be measured reliably in their vicinity. Avoid placing it directly next to the gas source or in places with a high level of dust or humidity. Also ensure that the gas detectors cannot be reached by children / pets and that no paints, varnishes, solvents or cleaning agents are stored near them. Gas detectors are also triggered, for example, when hairspray is used, as the propellant gases from the spray can are also detected. Similarly, gases released during baking lead to the gas detector being triggered.
