The Berger PCX15 is our smallest and narrowest compressor-powered cooler—designed to fit in the space between the driver’s and passenger’s seats. With a 15-liter capacity, a true compressor, and an exterior width of just 23.4 cm, it keeps things cool in places where a standard cooler simply won’t fit: in a van, a station wagon, a work van, or on the passenger seat.

Genuine compressor technology instead of Peltier. It cools to -18 °C regardless of the outside temperature, so it actually freezes food. The 3-stage battery protection shuts off the cooler in time to prevent your auxiliary battery from being deeply discharged—important if the cooler is connected to the vehicle’s electrical system overnight. At 36 dB, it’s quiet enough to run next to your bed.
Installation and Transport. Simply slide the included mounting rail into the groove on the bottom of the cooler—this provides tilt protection while driving without the need for drilling. To carry it from the kitchen to the car, you can attach the carrying strap with its padded pad and carry the cooler over your shoulder. The lid opens with a push-to-open latch and can be locked with the child safety lock.
Power supply. 12 V and 24 V for cars, RVs, and trucks; 230 V via the included power adapter for home use—this way, you can pre-cool the cooler the night before and just maintain the temperature while on the road. This saves the most battery power.

Does the box really fit between the front seats?
At 23.4 cm wide, it fits between the driver’s and passenger’s seats in many vans and station wagons. Measure the distance at the narrowest point beforehand—seat consoles and armrests vary from model to model.
How much power does it use?
The maximum power consumption is 55 W. However, the compressor does not run continuously but cycles on and off—actual power consumption depends on the outside temperature, the set temperature, and how often you open the lid. Pre-cooling using 230 V significantly reduces power consumption while on the road.
Can I connect it directly to the car battery?
Yes. The 3-stage battery protection shuts off the unit before the battery is discharged too deeply. For longer periods of inactivity without the engine running, we still recommend a separate auxiliary battery.
Does it freeze properly?
Yes, the temperature range goes down to -18 °C. In very warm environments, it takes correspondingly longer to reach the set temperature.
Is the carrying strap permanently attached?
No, you can hook it on using the two hooks as needed and then remove it again afterward.
