Description
Sika® Cleaner P is a low-viscosity, solvent-based cleaning agent for non-porous substrates.
Field of application
Sika® Cleaner P can be used prior to the application of adhesives and sealants to remove foreign matter and contaminants such as grease, oil, dust and dirt from surfaces such as plastic, polyester, powder and PVDF coated metals. The product is also suitable for cleaning glass and metal surfaces. The product may only be used on non-porous substrates. The above information is a general guideline. Advice and assistance on specific applications is available on request and this product is only suitable for experienced users. To ensure adhesion and material compatibility, preliminary tests must be carried out with original materials under the respective conditions.
Processing instructions
The ideal processing and substrate temperature is 15°C to 25°C. Sika® Cleaner P should only be used with clean, white, lint-free paper towels. Moisten the paper towel with the solution by pouring the solution onto the paper. Never dip the paper into the solution, as this can contaminate the solution. Wipe the surface with the moistened paper towel. Change the paper towel regularly to ensure the cleaning effect. Before the solvent evaporates, wipe the surface with another clean cloth. Repeat the process until no more dirt is visible on the white cloth. If the surface is not bonded immediately, the clean surface should be covered to prevent re-soiling. The process described above must be repeated if the waiting time exceeds 2 hours. Close the container tightly immediately after use.
