BACKWASH GLASS
We backwash our ceramic glass with fresh air. This helps to prevent the glass from becoming sooty so quickly. The cool, incoming air forms a protective film between the glass and the fire.
The air flows through the holes in the front of the door into a channel and is directed down the inside of the upper edge of the glass into the combustion chamber where it is used as combustion air.
FIREBRICK
We use a real firebrick, 10 mm thick and cut to size. Cheap vermaculite or Fermacell panels have no place in our stove.
The fireclay brick serves as an insulator to keep the temperature in the combustion chamber as high as possible. Pollutants burn better at high temperatures and the stove achieves better emission values. At only 10 mm thick, the brick is certainly not a good heat accumulator. A low overall weight of the stove is more important to us than heat storage.
ASH ROD
The primary purpose of the ash grate is to keep the combustion chamber clean. No mess when handling shovels and brooms. The ash can be conveniently drained into the drawer below in just a few simple steps using the operating rod.
The ash grate and the closing plate are made of 3 mm thick steel plates(DD11), each with 20 slotted holes. The steel is untreated and will corrode over time.
ASH DRAWER
An ash drawer is a must for all those who really want to use the stove continuously during cold periods. In small stoves without a drawer,, an excessively high layer of ash can impair the primary air supply.
The ash drawer is dimensioned so that the stove can be heated for a whole day without the drawer overflowing.
The drawer is secured with a locking cam.
PRIMARY AIR CONTROL
The fresh air can be regulated using a control rod. The slider on the air duct is adjusted by pushing or pulling the operating rod.
The fire can be influenced by regulating the air.
SECONDARY AIR
Additional openings in thefresh air duct are used to direct air into the upper area of the combustion chamber. The incoming fresh air at the hottest point of the stove increases the temperature, which stimulates the combustion of the flue gases. (wood gasifier principle)
This increases efficiency and reduces exhaust air emissions
.GASKET
We use E-glass yarn gaskets with additional impregnation. This improves the resistance of the gaskets to mechanical stresses such as abrasion (solvent-free).
With a continuous application temperature of 450° C, the gasket is ideal for the TINY STOVE.
Seals are wearing parts that can also be damaged by mechanical stress. To ensure proper function, we recommend regular inspection and replacement of the gasket if necessary.
